Indian Stock Market Today: NSE Gainers, Nifty Flow

The Indian stock market saw a strong set of mid-cap and broader-market gainers on September 3, 2026, even as index-level option flow stayed cautious. NIFTY 50 and BANK NIFTY both showed downside direction in flow, while radar probabilities suggested weaker odds for an upside move in Nifty and a near-balanced setup in Bank Nifty.

Top NSE gainers in today’s Indian stock market

Among today’s top NSE gainers in the 5-20% band, ALEMBICLTD led with a 9.58% rise to close at 109.73. It was followed by BFUTILITIE, up 8.96% to 545.5, and GOCLCORP, which gained 8.87% to end at 426.45.

NGLFINE advanced 8.74% to 2923.8, while SHREERAMA climbed 8.73% to 44.72 and also showed a Double Bottom pattern with neckline broken. MANALIPETC rose 8.51% to 89.8 with a Cup Recovery pattern described as retesting prior peak. KSHINTL gained 8.22% to 1023.45, and MANORAMA added 8.01% to close at 1958.4, also with a Double Bottom pattern and neckline broken.

What Nifty 50 and Bank Nifty option flow indicates today

NIFTY 50 closed at a spot level of 23885.8, with an option-flow score of 30, classified as NOISE. The platform direction was DOWN, and the flow skew stood at -19.4%, pointing to a negative bias in derivatives positioning, even if the signal strength was not clean enough to be treated as high conviction.

BANK NIFTY closed at 57417.9 with an option-flow score of 23, also in the NOISE zone. Its direction was DOWN as well, but the flow skew was only -3.7%, which suggests a milder bearish tilt than the one seen in NIFTY 50.

Index radar probabilities: what the odds imply

The NIFTY 50 radar showed a 34% probability of a +0.5% move versus a 47% probability of a -0.5% move. That gap supports the cautious tone visible in the option-flow data, with downside odds exceeding upside odds for the benchmark index.

For BANK NIFTY, the radar was more balanced: the probability of a +0.5% move was 50%, while the probability of a -0.5% move was 46%. Despite the option-flow direction being DOWN, the radar suggests Bank Nifty is not as one-sided as Nifty and may be trading in a more evenly matched short-term zone.

Retail trader takeaway from today’s NSE setup

A useful lesson from today’s market is that strong stock-specific momentum can coexist with weak or noisy index-level signals. Several names in the top gainers list posted gains above 8%, and some also showed chart patterns such as Double Bottom breakouts and Cup Recovery, even while NIFTY 50 and BANK NIFTY option flow stayed in the NOISE bucket with downside direction.

For retail traders, this means broad index sentiment and individual stock action should be read separately. When index flow lacks conviction, stock selection, confirmation from price action, and disciplined risk management become even more important than making a market-wide directional bet.
