Indian Stock Market Today: NSE Gainers, Nifty Cues

The Indian stock market session on 2026-10-14 saw sharp action in select NSE names even as index-level signals stayed mixed. Top gainers were led by JINDALPOLY, QUICKHEAL, RMC and KOPRAN, while Nifty 50 and Bank Nifty option-flow readings pointed to a cautious undertone.

NSE top gainers today: JINDALPOLY leads the move

Among today's strongest NSE gainers in the 5-20% band, JINDALPOLY rose 13.38% to close at 730.0. The stock also showed a Cup Recovery pattern, described here as retesting a prior peak, making it one of the most technically notable movers of the session.

QUICKHEAL gained 12.73% to 153.3, RMC advanced 12.54% to 210.57, and KOPRAN climbed 12.28% to 278.5. SHYAMTEL added 8.93% to close at 12.2 and was flagged with an Inverse Head & Shoulders pattern. Other notable gainers included PASUPTAC up 6.55% to 77.27, SPORTKING up 6.47% to 213.47, and SHREYANIND up 4.4% to 135.72 with a Flat Base Breakout pattern.

Nifty 50 option flow: bearish direction, but not a collapse signal

NIFTY 50 closed at 22622.7 on the spot index. The platform's option-flow score stood at 57, which falls in WATCH mode, with direction marked DOWN and a flow skew of -32.1%.

That combination suggests a negative options bias for the benchmark, but not necessarily a high-conviction breakdown setup. A WATCH reading generally means traders should avoid overreading a single directional cue and instead track whether price confirms the options positioning in the next session.

Bank Nifty option flow stays noisy despite downside label

BANK NIFTY ended at 55316.0. Its option-flow score was 39, categorized as NOISE, with direction DOWN and a relatively mild negative flow skew of -4.3%.

In practical terms, this is weaker directional evidence than what was seen in Nifty 50. Even though the label says DOWN, the low score and limited skew suggest the derivatives data is not clean enough to imply a strong bearish trend by itself.

Index radar probabilities: Nifty more balanced, Bank Nifty conflicted

The NIFTY 50 radar showed P(+0.5% move) at 37% versus P(-0.5%) at 13%. That indicates the probability model is assigning a higher chance to a meaningful upside move than an equivalent downside move, even though the option-flow direction for the index was DOWN.

For BANK NIFTY, the radar was more conflicted: P(+0.5% move) stood at 56% while P(-0.5%) was even higher at 63%. This kind of setup points to elevated uncertainty and the possibility of two-sided volatility rather than a clean one-way trend.

Retail trader takeaway: separate stock strength from index weakness

Today's tape is a useful reminder that strong individual stock moves can coexist with cautious or mixed index derivatives signals. Names such as JINDALPOLY, SHYAMTEL and SHREYANIND stood out because they combined price strength with identifiable chart patterns, while the broader index data remained less decisive.

For retail traders, the key lesson is to avoid forcing an index view onto every stock. When option flow is weak or noisy, stock-specific setups, closing strength, and pattern confirmation can matter more than broad-market bias. At the same time, mixed index signals often call for tighter risk management and more selective trade selection.
